The Tuppers Plains Fire Department Was Organized in 1974 and operates with 22 members. Units that are in service are E-80 a 2000 gpm engine with c.a.f.s., E-84 1000 gpm enigine, B-81 6x6 brush unit, B-82 1-ton brush unit, R-85 light rescue,B-88 & B-89 both 14' rescue water craft, and squad-86 ALS EMS unit. TPFD covers 40 sq. miles of primary coverage and provides automatic aid to Chester twp along with mutual aid to Meigs Co.
